"Although it says resort it is actually a man camp. Towels smelled like mildew and office was closed when I was going to ask for replacements. We didn't get much sleep due to the loud noises and arguing outside. We will not return."

"Staff is always attentive and accommodating to my needs. The facility is dated but rooms always clean and bed comfortable. As a single woman, I'm always given a room close to the office which makes me feel safe. Price is very fair for the accommodation. I recommend it for an overnight stay."

Wintergarden Inn
"We made a reservation around 9 PM on Saturday the 22nd and it was accepted and booked for that night. We made the reservation through Expedia. We arrived at the Wintergarden Inn in Crystal City TX around 10 PM. The office was closed so we called the Inn's after hours phone number but no one answered. I let the phone ring at least 20 times, if not more before hanging up. Needless to say, there was no recording that came on, so I could not leave a message. We were exhausted as we drove for many hours that day. I was going to call Expedia to request a refund but at that point we just wanted to find another hotel and get to bed. I don't know why Wintergarden Inn took our reservation that we made through Expedia if they are not open in the late evening and do not have anyone manning the front desk. Also, Expedia did not mention that the Inn was closed. I made the reservation online through Expedia and did not speak with anyone at Expedia, but it would have been helpful if Expedia had mentioned in their information about the Wintergarden Inn that it closed in the evening. So, my complaint about the Wintergarden Inn is that they did not answer their after hours phone number. I wonder who the guests contact should they need assistance after the front desk closes. I have yet to contact Expedia as we are still traveling, but I will soon. I know they will refund me, I have no doubt about that. If you want to stay at the Wintergarden Inn make sure you check on when they close."
